Hand off a clear task to a coding agent.

Review the context in Vision and follow the real GitHub task, branch and draft PR.

The work to improve

AI-assisted implementation still needs a clear request, a known repository and accountable review. A free-form prompt alone does not establish delivery.

A clear handoff includes the intended result and acceptance checks. Vision shows the target repository and branch before the member creates the external task.

The resulting draft PR remains subject to repository policies. Reviewers use GitHub for the complete code conversation while Vision retains the work context and delivery evidence.

What changes for your team

  • Review the destination and task context before delegation.
  • Keep the provider task and code artifacts linked to work.
  • Retain GitHub’s review and merge controls.

What you can explore in Vision

  • Explicit GitHub cloud-agent task creation
  • Bounded task-specific handoff context
  • Agent, branch, draft PR, check and review visibility

Questions worth asking

Does linking a repository start an agent?

No. A member must review and confirm each new agent task.

Is the whole workspace sent?

No. The handoff is bounded to relevant task context and excludes unrelated workspace state.

Does agent completion mean the work is delivered?

No. The coding session, PR merge, deployment and accepted outcome are distinct stages.

Scope and availability

  • Requires supported GitHub Copilot access, repository policy and approved Agent tasks permissions.
  • Provider availability and APIs can change; confirm them before a live demonstration.
